Featuring a vast human chain of figures with unique, imperfect shapes, the artwork celebrates the importance of connection, mutual aid, and community. A tribute to Simonne-Monet-Chartrand—an exceptional woman whose social activism left a profound mark on Quebec—it illustrates the richness of human interactions within the community center that bears her name. The jewel-like silhouettes traversing the Simonne-Monet-Chartrand Community Center evoke the priceless value of the people who gather in this new space of solidarity, support, and vitality for Chomedey families. The sequence of metal strips—appearing silver or gold depending on the viewer's perspective—directly references the site’s distinctive architectural signature and the copper louvers visible on the building's exterior. Paired with the suspended figures, these elements harness natural light, acting as mirrors that cast reflections across the agora walls, shifting with the seasons and the time of day. Light rays filter through the circle of figures and into the surrounding space, highlighting the beauty of the invisible bonds that unite us and brighten our lives.
